Here are 3 suggested solutions to crossing that cultural divide.

1. Log in to one of the many computer based language translation websites. Enter the phrase you wish translated. Keep it simple with basic terms. Select English to Russian translation. Tick the “transliterate” box then press “translate”. The bottom window should now have a fairly accurate version in Russian of what you wanted to say in English using English letters. To verify that the general theme of your message is carried through, tick the “back translation” box and you’ll hopefully receive verification that nothing got lost in translation. It’s instant and free.
2. Search for one of the many English to Russian translation agencies available on the internet. Send your phrase or message that you require translating and make sure you inform them you require the translation in English letters. With this option being neither instant nor free, forward planning is required.
3. Search for an online translation company that provides an instant translation between English and Russian. Register and pay a small amount for credits. Enter the phrase you require translation for. Your perfect translation should now appear. Depending on which company you use, the resultant translation can be copied from the window and pasted for future reference to a word file or similar. Some services email you the translation and some can in fact send your translation to your mobile phone for instant forwarding to the intended recipient.
